I just passed 8th Grade Science
I found a little online quiz and I thought I’d better share the results, even though they are none too impressive.
The world should be grateful I’m not a rocket scientist. Now if it was a food science quiz I might have had a better chance.

Having said that, daylight savings finished last weekend and I’ll be [...]
On the Stove Top
My kitchen survives on a minimal amount of pots and pans. At last count I had exactly three saucepans. It’s amazing how you can make do with just a few basic saucepans.
I have a large stockpot, that I use regularly for soups, stocks and curries. It also get’s a work out for rice and pasta [...]
Tinned Tomatoes
I love tinned tomatoes, they are cheap and make a great base for a thousand different sauces. The foodies out there might say it’s cheating and you should use fresh, but I work for a living and there is nothing easier than opening a can of tomatoes, adding a few fresh ingredients and coming up [...]
Roast Vegetables with no mess
Back here I wrote about the first time I ever tried to cook a roast.
