There is probably a million different variations of this traditional chinese soup that you could find online. This is an easy one that doesn’t take long to make.
The other bonus is that it’s low fat, low carb and high on flavour!
Ingredients
300 grams chicken breast meat
3 litres of chicken stock (or substitute)
1 onion diced
2 celery stalks [...]

This soup is a great winter warmer on a cold day. The ginger gives it a real zing that warms you up on the inside. Another bonus is that it’s fat free and has a low salt content (depending on which stock you use).
Although this would qualify as vegan food I won’t advertise it as [...]

I’ve just got back from an afternoon of almost sailing. We were all set to go for the first race of the summer season, but overnight we’d had snow to sea level, there was a lumpy swell rolling up the river and the wind was gusty. We took a vote and decided we’d be happier [...]

I blame Jamie Oliver for putting up the price of lamb shanks, they used to be a cheap off cut that you could use to flavour soups and stews, now they are showing up on restaurant menus at the same price as a prime cut of beef steak. On the bright side as their reputation [...]

I never used to eat vegetables, just on the principle that I was forced to eat them as a kid and by the time I moved out of home I figured I’d had enough to last a life time. So after waking up to the lack of nutrition in my life, I’ve rediscovered them.
